This feature documentary explores Western attitudes towards farm animals and meat, and the intense battle between animal advocates and the meat industry to influence consumer minds.
In production for five years, director Jennifer Abbott travels across Canada, the US, Australia and New Zealand to meet with leaders of the animal rights movement, agribusiness representatives and animal welfare experts.

Interspersing these diverse perspectives are archival films, industry training footage and sometimes unsettling undercover video. Thought-provoking and challenging, A Cow at My Table provides a springboard for discussion into the history, culture, science and spirituality of raising animals for human consumption.

"Like all the best documentaries, this film offers more questions than answers." - Cameron Bailey, NOW Magazine, Toronto

"…a brilliant documentary." - Toronto Star
