Islamic Concerns The beautiful religion of Islam has always viewed animals as a special part of God's creation. The Qur'an, the Hadith, and the history of Islamic civilization offer many examples of kindness, mercy, and compassion for animals. Thanks to Westernized factory-farming methods that are used in many parts of the world, animals suffer hideously in the industries that kill them to produce meat, milk, and eggs. These products not only bring pain and suffering to the animals themselves, they are also implicated in a variety of human diseases, including cancer, heart disease, obesity, high blood pressure, and diabetes. The intensive production of animals for food is also extremely damaging to the environment. |

Bawa Muhaiyaddeen Fellowship All who seek the Truth are welcome to come and drink from this pond of wisdom. There is no charge. Truth by its very nature can only be free. Students of M. R. Bawa Muhaiyaddeen are honored to serve all who come. The Bawa Muhaiyaddeen Fellowship is a "Reservoir of Wisdom" for all who are seeking God's Truth. It is a place where individuals may gather to study the Truth of God — outwardly through the teachings and example that His Holiness has given us and inwardly through listening with greater clarity and determination, to that Truth within one's self which exists as the conscience of man. Vegetarian meals are served here, and you are welcome to share this food during any visit. The Fellowship is run purely on a donation basis. |
